The Archbishop's Palace is a complex of buildings spanning from the 12th to 17th centuries, and it now houses three of Narbonne's museums: the Musée Archéologique (with a remarkable collection of Roman mosaics, sculptures, and inscriptions from ancient Narbo Martius), the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire (decorative arts, paintings, and a fine collection of Roman wall paintings), and the Donjon Gilles Aycelin — a 13th-century tower you can climb for the best views in the city. The medieval and Renaissance rooms are worth seeing in themselves.
