Chaumont's nearest station is Onzain, on the opposite bank of the Loire, served by frequent local trains from Tours (35 minutes) and Blois (10 minutes). From the station it is a 30-minute walk over the bridge to the château, or a short taxi.
By car the village sits just off the D751, the riverside road that runs the length of the Loire Valley between Tours and Blois. Parking near the château is free out of season and paid in summer.
