Chantilly has a modest range of restaurants for a town of its size, mostly along Rue du Connétable in the centre and on the streets around the château. The town's gastronomic claim to fame is, of course, the chantilly cream that takes its name from the place — many cafés serve it on top of almost everything, from desserts to coffee. Outside the château area the choice thins out quickly.
