Things to Do

St-Valéry's sights are concentrated in the walled upper town and along the quayside below. A morning is enough to walk the ramparts, drop into the medieval Église Saint-Martin, and climb to the cliff-edge Chapelle des Marins for views across the bay. The afternoon is for the waterfront: the steam railway, the seal colonies hauled out on the sandbanks at low tide, and the long promenade along the Quai du Romerel.
