Waldenbuch's old town is modest, but it gives the museum visit a setting. Streets around the castle hill keep half-timbered houses, fountains, St Veit church, and traces of the old town wall.
Look for the town-history stations as you walk between Schloss Waldenbuch and the Ritter Sport side of town. They help make sense of a place that otherwise feels very quiet.
