Waldenbuch

Small Swabian town near Stuttgart, best known for Ritter Sport chocolate and museum stops.

Waldenbuch is a small town south of Stuttgart, sitting at the edge of the Schonbuch forest. It would be easy to dismiss as a suburb, but it has a clear travel hook: this is Ritter Sport's home town, and chocolate, art, and everyday culture are packed into a walkable centre.

The modern Museum Ritter shows geometric and abstract art beside the Ritter Sport visitor centre. Across town, Museum der Alltagskultur fills Schloss Waldenbuch with objects from ordinary German life.

Waldenbuch is best as an easy day from Stuttgart, especially for families or travellers who like small museums more than big-city checklists. Add a wander through the old centre, and the town has enough personality for a relaxed half-day.
