The Kurpark is the leafy centrepiece of Bad Bentheim's spa town identity — a formal park with walking paths, a bandstand, and the open-air theatre that hosts concerts and events through the summer months. It is pleasant rather than spectacular, but a good place to understand why the town has drawn visitors for over a century.
The town's status as a state-recognised Kurort (health resort) means it meets standards for air quality, green space, and therapeutic facilities. For visitors not interested in the medical side of things, the park is simply a relaxing place to walk before heading up to the castle or continuing into the Dutch border countryside.
