Wilseder Berg

Highest point of the Lüneburg Heath, with wide views over open heathland.

Wilseder Berg is only 169 metres high, but in the Lüneburg Heath that is enough to matter. The summit gives broad views across a low, sandy landscape of heather, grass, juniper and scattered trees. On clear days the view feels much larger than the numbers suggest.

You cannot drive to the top. Walk or cycle from Wilsede, Niederhaverbeck or Undeloh, or take a cart to Wilsede and continue from there. The climb is modest, but the open landscape means weather matters more than distance.
