Westgaster Mühle is a restored windmill west of Norden's centre, one of those East Frisian landmarks that looks exactly right against a low sky. It is not a long visit, but it adds a good old-Norden stop if you are walking beyond the market square.
Come for the exterior and the sense of landscape as much as for the building itself. The mill is a reminder that Norden was a market town and working agricultural centre before Norddeich became the seaside face of the municipality.
