Heringsdorf Pier

Germany's longest pier, stretching more than 500 metres into the Baltic.

Heringsdorf Pier is the resort's signature landmark: a long, modern pier that runs straight out from the promenade into the Baltic. At just over 500 metres, it is usually described as the longest pier in Germany.

It is not a lonely wooden jetty. Shops and cafes occupy the shore end, and summer evenings can be busy, but the walk still gives the right Baltic reward: wind, pale light, and a clean view back to the villas and beach.
