The Monument Landscape is a 25 km route through the wider former military research area, starting at the Historical Technical Museum and linking twenty marked stations. It covers the power station, chapel, oxygen plant, airfield, former camp sites, railway traces, and other remains that make Peenemünde feel like a landscape of history rather than a single museum.
Large parts of the old testing ground are still unsafe or closed because of munitions, so stick to the marked route and information boards. The route is best for travelers who have time after the main museum and want to understand the scale of the site.
