The U-461 is a demilitarised Soviet Juliett-class submarine moored in Peenemünde harbour and run as a maritime museum. Visitors move through narrow compartments, torpedo rooms, crew spaces, control areas, and engine sections, which quickly makes the scale of the boat feel both enormous and claustrophobic.
It is a good companion to the Historical Technical Museum because it shifts the story from wartime rocket development to Cold War naval hardware, still with steel, secrecy, and unease all around you.
