Sparrenberg Castle is Bielefeld's main landmark, a restored fortress on the hill above the old town. Its walls, tower, and underground passages give the city a clear medieval anchor.
The castle is most rewarding for the view. From the hill you can see the city centre below and the green line of the Teutoburg Forest behind it.
