The Buddha Museum is Traben-Trarbach's strangest indoor sight: a large private collection of Buddhist sculpture and ritual objects housed in a former winery. It is not what most travellers expect to find in a Mosel wine town, which is part of the charm.
Go if the weather turns or if you like odd specialist collections. The contrast between Asian religious art and the old wine-trading architecture makes it more memorable than a standard small-town museum.
