The Kurpark is Bad Schwartau's spa park, a well-maintained green space at the heart of the health-resort district. It has the characteristic features of a German Kurpark: shaded walking paths, flower beds, a Wandelhalle (a covered promenade for walking in bad weather), Kneipp pools for foot immersion therapy, and benches arranged to catch the sun at different times of day.
It is a pleasant place for a morning or afternoon walk, especially if you are staying in town for the spa. The park is also the venue for occasional open-air events and markets in summer. For anyone just passing through on the way to Lübeck, a 20-minute walk through the Kurpark and a look at the spa buildings gives a sufficient impression of what Bad Schwartau offers.
