The museum harbour is the easiest place to start in Büsum. Historic boats lie beside the working waterfront, the red-and-white lighthouse rises just behind them, and the whole scene gives you the fishing-town version of the North Sea resort.
It is not a formal museum visit so much as a slow walk. Come in the morning when the harbour is waking up, or near sunset when the low light catches the masts and brick buildings.
