The little Répce river loops past Bük on its way down from the Austrian Alpokalja to the Rába. The riverside path is unpaved but well-trodden, and makes a pleasant hour-long walk in either direction from the village — meadows, willows, a few small weirs, and the occasional cattle pasture. Anglers fish here for chub, barbel, and small trout; the necessary state and local permits are available from the spa hotel reception desks.
The bike route from Sárvár to Sopron runs along part of the river bank and passes through Bük, making it a manageable stop on a longer cycling itinerary in western Hungary.
