Lamberg Park

The wooded park behind Lamberg Castle was laid out as an English-style landscape garden in the early nineteenth century and still preserves a good number of the original specimen trees, including some sycamores and plane trees that must be close to two hundred years old. A small ornamental pond sits in the middle, and a network of gravel paths makes a circuit of about twenty minutes.

It is the obvious place to retreat to between cellar visits or after lunch. Locals walk dogs here in the morning and bring children in the afternoon; you'll rarely see another tourist.
