Szolnok Gallery

Former synagogue by the river, now used for art exhibitions.

Szolnok Gallery occupies the city's former synagogue, a late-19th-century building by Lipot Baumhorn. The building was restored after World War II and now hosts changing art exhibitions rather than religious services.

Even if the current show is modest, the building is worth seeing for its architecture and its position near the river. It pairs naturally with the Tiszavirag Bridge and the central river walk.
