Kanyavari Island is one of the easiest places to experience the Kis-Balaton wetlands near Zalakaros. A wooden bridge leads to trails and lookout points where reeds, water, and birdlife dominate the scene.
It is a strong choice for travellers with a car, binoculars, or an interest in quieter nature stops around Lake Balaton. The island is at its best outside the harshest midday heat, when birds are more active and the wetland light is softer.
