Doolin has no direct bus connection from Dublin. The most practical route by public transport is the Bus Eireann service from Ennis (the county town of Clare), which stops at Doolin a few times a day. Ennis is itself connected by train to Galway and Limerick. The journey from Galway by bus and local connections takes about two hours.
By car, Doolin is about 75 kilometres south of Galway city along the N67, a road that runs through the Burren and is one of the more scenic drives in Ireland. The drive from Limerick takes about 45 minutes via the M18 and then smaller roads through Ennis. Parking in the village is limited in summer.
