Cois na hAbhna

Comhaltas centre for Clare traditional music and dance

Address Gort Road, Ennis

Cois na hAbhna — "Beside the River" — is the regional centre of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the national organisation for traditional Irish music, dance, and language. It sits a short drive north of the town centre on the Galway road, in a low complex of buildings that house a concert hall, archive, classrooms, and the Clare branch of the Irish Traditional Music Archive.

The summer programme runs weekly performances of music and set-dancing on Wednesday evenings, plus workshops and shorter informal events. It is a more formal, listening-focused alternative to the pub sessions in town. Tickets are inexpensive and rarely require advance booking outside festival weeks.
