Sugarloaf Mountain

Sugarloaf Mountain rises southwest of Glengarriff in the Caha Mountains, giving the village its hard western skyline. It is not as famous as the Wicklow mountain of the same name, but it is a proper West Cork hill: rough, wet, and much quieter.

Routes vary in condition and are best approached with local advice, a map, and a realistic eye on the weather. If the cloud is down, save it for another day and take the forest or island options instead.
