Quill's is a small chain — there are branches in Killarney, Sneem, and elsewhere on the Ring of Kerry — and the Kenmare shop on Main Street is the easiest place in town to find a proper Aran sweater, a Donegal tweed jacket, or a length of Irish-made fabric. Several rooms running back from the street are stacked with woollens of every weight, hat racks, and shelves of accessories.
Prices are competitive for what is genuinely Irish-made. Staff know the products and will help you sort the heavy hand-knit jumpers from the lighter machine-knit ones.
