Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre

Newbridge Silverware has been making cutlery and silverware in the town of Newbridge, just east of Kildare, since 1934. The visitor centre attached to the factory is more engaging than it sounds: a Museum of Style Icons contains an extraordinary collection of costumes, memorabilia, and personal effects donated by or associated with film stars, royalty, and icons of popular culture — Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and various Bond girls among them. The factory shop is excellent if you are in the market for quality Irish-made silverware, jewellery, or gifts.
