Teampall Jarlath

Teampall Jarlath is a fenced ruin on High Street, traditionally linked to St Jarlath and the early church settlement from which Tuam grew. The standing remains are later, from the 13th century, but the site gives the town's origin story a clear location.

It is a modest ruin rather than a grand attraction. Its value is context: stand here, then walk to the cathedrals, and Tuam's old role as a religious centre makes much more sense.
