The Church of the Assumption is one of Tullamore's most visible landmarks, a large Catholic parish church whose scale reflects the town's nineteenth- and twentieth-century confidence. Inside, stained glass and devotional details make it worth a short look if the doors are open.
It is not a reason by itself to come to Tullamore, but it belongs in a town walk with the canal, distillery history, and central streets. As with any active church, visit quietly and avoid service times unless you are attending.
