Ballast Bank

The Ballast Bank is a long, low structure in Wexford Harbour, part of the town's maritime landscape rather than a conventional visitor attraction. It is best appreciated from the quay, where the shallow harbour and broad sky explain why Wexford has always looked outward to the water.

Come here for a walk, not a museum. The waterfront can feel practical and slightly rough-edged, but it gives Wexford a different mood from inland heritage towns.
