The Saline River reaches the Adriatic near Montesilvano after forming from the Fino and Tavo rivers inland. It is not a grand attraction, but it marks the northern edge of the resort area and gives walkers a natural break in the beach line.
The mouth is best treated as a landscape detail rather than a swimming spot. Walk the coast for the views and the quieter stretches, then return to the cleaner bathing areas along the main beach.
