Ladispoli's beaches are the main reason to come. The volcanic black sand is distinctive and retains heat well, making it pleasant even in shoulder season. The beach runs north-south along the entire seafront; the southern end near the stabilimenti (beach clubs) is livelier, the northern end toward Torre Flavia is quieter.
