Arenzano's beaches are mostly pebble and shingle, with stretches of free public access (spiagge libere) interspersed with paid beach clubs. The central beach in front of the lungomare is family-friendly and shallow. Just east of the town, beyond Punta San Martino, the small bay of Marina di Arenzano has a cleaner stretch and is quieter on weekdays.
For a more dramatic setting, drive or walk a few kilometres east to Vesima — a tiny pebble beach tucked under the cliffs of the Lastroni, with the distinctive "Aguggia" rock offshore. The water here is some of the clearest on this stretch of coast.
