Noli's beach is a curved strip of mixed sand and fine gravel that runs along the front of the old town, framed by the medieval towers on one side and the open sea on the other. It is not large — about a kilometre of shoreline — but it is well maintained and has received the European Blue Flag award consistently, meaning the water quality and facilities meet strict standards. The backdrop of the medieval town makes it one of the more picturesque beaches on the Riviera.
The beach is divided into private lidos (renting sun beds and umbrellas) and free public sections. In July and August it fills up but never reaches the density of more famous Riviera beaches. Outside peak season it is often nearly empty. The water is clean and clear, shelving gradually — good for children and for snorkelling around the rocky edges where the beach meets the cape.
