Terme di Pigna

Sulphurous thermal springs in the valley below the village, used since Roman times

The Terme di Pigna sit in the valley below the village, a few kilometres down the road toward Dolceacqua. The springs produce sulphurous water at around 35°C, rich in bicarbonate and calcium, used since Roman times for the treatment of respiratory and rheumatic conditions. The modern thermal complex includes indoor pools, a wellness centre, and mud treatment facilities.

The terme are the main reason many visitors make the drive up into this part of the Nervia valley — they are among the best-established thermal baths in Liguria. The setting is attractive: a green valley enclosed by chestnut-covered hills, quieter than the coast even in high summer. Day admission to the pools is available without booking medical treatments.
