Recco–Camogli Coast Path

The coastal footpath south from Recco to Camogli is one of the best short walks in the Paradise Gulf. About four kilometres each way, it threads along the cliffs above the sea, through pine and oleander, with constant views back to the Portofino headland. Most of the route is level; a short steep stretch climbs from Mulinetti Beach.

Allow around an hour and a half each way at a comfortable pace. You can return by the regular local train from Camogli (one stop, five minutes) if you don't want to walk back. Best done in the morning before the heat, with a focaccia and water in your pack.
