Toirano sits about 5 km inland from Borghetto Santo Spirito on the coastal Via Aurelia and the parallel A10 motorway. The nearest train stations are at Borghetto Santo Spirito and Loano on the main Genoa-Ventimiglia line; from either, a local bus connects to Toirano in around 15 minutes.
By car, take the A10 exit for Borghetto Santo Spirito and follow signs for Toirano and the Grotte. Parking is available at the cave entrance and in the village. The drive from Genoa takes around 75 minutes and from Nice around two hours.
