Urbe's appeal is mostly outdoors — chestnut and beech forests, panoramic ridge walks, and small Romanesque churches scattered across the upper Olba valley. Two long-distance hikes pass through: the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri ridge route, and the side trails up to Passo del Faiallo with its huge view of the Ligurian coast.
