The Lazzaretto di San Rocco was built as a quarantine and epidemic-control complex, with work beginning in 1484. The site includes the chapel of San Rocco, built in 1514, and the monumental Vantini cemetery from the nineteenth century. It is a quieter historic stop just outside the main lakeside circuit of Salo.
