Three of Urbino's main streets converge on this triangular piazza, the social hub of the city. It is where Via Mazzini from the Porta Valbona meets Corso Garibaldi and Via Raffaello. A clean 19th-century fountain stands in the middle.
It is the unofficial student living room: cafes spill onto the pavement, the bars stay open late, and on warm evenings the place fills with young people on the wide stone steps. From here it's a five-minute walk in any direction to the Palazzo Ducale, Casa di Raffaello, or the cathedral.
