Stresa is well connected by train. Direct trains from Milan Centrale take about an hour and run regularly throughout the day; the station is close to the lakefront and the ferry landing. From Turin, trains via Novara take around 1.5 hours. By car, exit the A26 motorway at Baveno. Malpensa airport is about 40 km away; a taxi takes roughly 45 minutes, or take a train to Milan and change.
