This four-hectare alpine botanical garden sits at 800 metres altitude on the slopes of Monte Mottarone, reachable by the road to the summit or by cable car from Stresa. The collection focuses on species from the alpine and subalpine zones of the Alps, with notable additions from the Caucasus, China, and Japan. Open April through mid-October (closed Mondays), 9:00 to 18:00.
