Isnello is a small mountain village on the northern side of the Madonie, useful as a quiet stop between Cefalu, Castelbuono, and the higher park roads. It sits close to wooded slopes and limestone country, so it feels much more mountain than coastal.
There is no need to over-plan it. Walk the lanes, look for the church views, and use it as a breather before or after a hike. The village is especially good if you want the Madonie's slower side without driving deep into the park.
