Castello dei Luna

Castello dei Luna is more ruin than fortress now, but its position above the town still tells the story. The remains sit on a rocky rise at the eastern side of the old centre, where the medieval town could watch both land and sea.

It is not a long visit. Go for the setting, the fragments of wall, and the way the castle helps you read Sciacca's layered topography: hill, old streets, harbour, and sea all dropping away below.
