A restaurant and bar installed in the former women's prison on Via Ghibellina, with cells converted into private dining rooms and the long central corridor lined with tables. The setting is genuinely unusual — not gimmicky. The cooking is Tuscan, the wines are well-chosen, and the aperitivo bar in the evening is one of the more characterful in the city.
The cell-room private dining option seats four to six and is worth booking for a group. The prison operated until 1983; some of the original graffiti carved by prisoners into the cell walls has been preserved behind glass.
