Palazzo Sansoni-Trombetta

The Renaissance palazzo at the heart of the old fortified town now houses the comune's offices. It stands in what was the bailey of the Castello di San Michele Arcangelo al Ponte a Sieve, the medieval citadel whose walls and gates still ring the centre.

A small archive of local documents is kept inside, and visitors are usually welcome to look at the courtyard during office hours. The building is unmissable on the main piazza.
