San Piero a Sieve is about 30 kilometres north of Florence by road. By car, take the A1 motorway and exit at Barberino di Mugello, then follow local roads south into the valley. State Road 65 (Via Bolognese) connects the village directly to Florence and, in the other direction, continues to Bologna. Regional roads also link San Piero a Sieve to Faenza (SS 302), Imola (SS 503), Forlì (SS 67), and Arezzo (SS 70).
The Mugello Circuit is about 12 kilometres from San Piero a Sieve via the SP551 through Scarperia. On MotoGP race weekends in June, traffic along this road is heavy and it is worth allowing extra time or arriving early.
