Cervino Golf Club

Nine-hole alpine course at the foot of the Matterhorn

The Cervino Golf Club is a nine-hole course laid out on the flat ground at the southern edge of Cervinia, at 2,050 metres — making it one of the highest courses in Europe. It opened in 1955 and remains a modest, friendly club rather than a destination resort course.

Playing here is more about the setting than the game. The Matterhorn looms over the back nine, and the thinner air at altitude adds noticeable distance to drives. The season runs roughly from late June to mid-September, when the snow finally clears off the fairways. A small clubhouse serves food and drinks; visitors are welcome but should book ahead in peak weeks.
