The Faro di Bibione marks the eastern tip of the peninsula at the mouth of the Tagliamento river. The 22-metre white tower is unmanned but the spit it stands on is a fine wild stretch, with a small free beach, dunes and reed-beds full of waders. It is reachable on foot from Bibione Pineda along the beach (about 3 km) or by water-taxi from the port.
The mouth of the Tagliamento is a protected ecological area — the river is one of the last free-flowing Alpine rivers in Europe — and birdwatching from the dunes is the main reason to walk out here.
