Bibione Pineda is the calmer half of Bibione — a residential and holiday-park area at the eastern end of the beach, separated from the main resort by a strip of pineta (umbrella pines) that thinned the development in the 1960s. The buildings here are mostly low villas, and the beach itself is wider and less crowded than the main stretch.
The pine forest is criss-crossed by cycle paths and runs almost to the Tagliamento estuary. If you want a Bibione holiday without the busiest restaurants and noisier hotels, base yourself in Pineda.
