Villa Draghi and Museum of Thermalism

Hilltop nineteenth-century villa and museum tracing two thousand years of spa culture

Villa Draghi sits on a wooded ridge on the western edge of town, a fifteen-minute walk up from the centre through the Parco Mineraio. The neo-Gothic villa was built in the 1860s by a Paduan industrialist and is now owned by the municipality; the ground floor houses the Museum of Thermalism, with finds from the Roman baths in town — bronze ex-votos, mosaic fragments, coins, and oil lamps.

The park surrounding the villa is the best green space in Montegrotto, with marked walking trails up Monte Alto for a view over the Euganean Hills and the plain stretching east to Venice. Free to enter, and the trails connect onwards to the wider Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei.
