The Cibiana Pass at 1,530 metres climbs south from Vodo across the ridge into the Zoldo valley. The road is narrow and looping — a favourite of motorcyclists — and the pass itself is a quiet meadow with a small refuge and good views in both directions.
The pass is also the starting point for the walk to Monte Rite (2,180 m), site of Reinhold Messner's Museum in the Clouds — installed inside a restored First World War fort on the summit. The museum can be reached on foot in about ninety minutes from the pass, or by a 4x4 shuttle service in summer.
